We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run the site and help you find great artists. No sneaky stuff, no data selling, no BS.

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED

• Visit Data: Our host tracks page views through gauges.js to determine what to charge us for hosting.
  We use Umami Analytics to collect anonymous visitor data to better understand how folks use edmonton.ink, so we can make it better.
  This tracks which pages you visit, how long you stick around, what device you are using, and city-level location data.
  We use Umami because it is privacy-focused, doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other sites, and doesn’t sell your data.
• Local Storage: Your browser stores your Randomizor history so you see fresh content each time
• System Info: Basic stuff like your browser type and operating system

Contact Forms: Your name, email, and message, and any other details you share

That’s it. Seriously.

  Want to know what we’ve got? We’ll show you any personal info we’ve collected about you. Just email get@edmonton.ink with “Data Request” in the subject line.
• Fix Your Data:
  Something not right? You can correct any inaccurate info we have about you. Email us what needs fixing, and we’ll sort it out.
• Delete Your Data:
  Want us to forget you? No hard feelings. You can request deletion of your personal info anytime. Note: We might need to keep some info for legal reasons, but we’ll explain if that’s the case.
• Export Your Data:
  Taking your data to go? We’ll package up whatever personal info we have in a portable format.
• Change Your Preferences:
  Changed your mind about how we use your info? You can update your preferences anytime.

  • We’ve got contracts in place requiring our service providers to protect your info
  • You keep all your PIPEDA rights, no matter where the data sits

HOW LONG WE KEEP STUFF

• Contact form messages: 1 year max
• Analytics data: 26 months max

COOKIES & STORAGE

We keep it minimal:

• Local Storage: Tracks your Randomizor history in your browser so you won’t see the same thing twice until you reach the end of the list.
• Host Analytics: Unique Page View tracking through gauges.js
• Analytics: Site usage patterns, 404 Error page tracking, 301 Redirect Tracking
